Unit 4 Information

Zion National Park, Utah

Picture
In this unit we will:
   1. Analyze the double-stranded, complementary nature of DNA as related to cell function.
   2. Analyze how cells grow and reproduce in terms of interphase, mitosis and cytokinesis.
Connection to Evolution:
  • How can the relatively simple composition and structure of DNA lead to the diversity of life on Earth?
  • How did mitosis evolve? Binary fission in bacteria to mitosis in eukaryotes.
